\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAlong its 118 kilometres of coastline, La Palma surprises with its unspoilt landscapes, impressive cliffs, charming fishing ports, beautiful black sand beaches and the new \u201cfajanas\u201d (lava strips) recently created by the volcanic eruption.\n

\n\nThe port of Tazacorte is one of the areas of the island closely linked to the sea, most of all because of its gastronomy. Between 30 and 40% of the fish landed in the port is sold within the municipality, while the rest is delivered to other areas of the island. On the other hand, around 90% of the discharges made in the port of Tazacorte belong to vessels with a home port in this harbour.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLike Tijarafe and Puntagorda, Garaf\u00eda suffered from the isolation of not having roads. For this reason, a basic enclave for its communications was the Puertito de Santo Domingo. \nFishing activity in Villa de Mazo is concentrated in Las Maretas, La Bajita, Las Salemeras and El Poris, which are areas close to the airport. The construction of the airport led to the disappearance of one of the best wharves on the island, the cove of El Palo.\n

\nThe municipality of Puntallana has 13 kilometres of coastline with small bays and hidden beaches in the abrupt and jagged coastline with walls of uneven heights and black volcanic sand. Some of the main enclaves are the small coves such as Puerto Trigo, the small natural pool of Puerto Paja, as well as the beach of Mart\u00edn Luis, formerly used as a wharf, and the long beach of Nogales.\n

\nFuencaliente is also known for its beaches. On the one hand, there are the enclaves of Puntalarga and Los Abadejos, with their dark sand, calm waters and moderate waves. With these same characteristics is La Zamora, sheltered by a unique set of marine rocks.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
