It covers a 15-kilometre stretch of coastline and includes the municipalities of Fuencaliente and Los Llanos de Aridane. The reserve reaches a depth of 1,000 metres and extends over 3,455 hectares on the south-western coast of the island, between Caleta de los P\u00e1jaros and Punta Gruesa.\n<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIt has a scarce marine platform and an abrupt seabed of important scenic and biological value, as well as a wide variety of marine flora and fauna, with fishing species which are difficult to observe in other western islands of the archipelago.\n<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe reserve is integrated in another marine protected area (Franja Marina de Fuencaliente), framed within the Natura 2000 Network and the World Biosphere Reserve of La Palma.\nThe reserve has a Visitor Centre, located in the lighthouse of Fuencaliente, and an information office in Puerto de Tazacorte.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element
