Cofradía de Pescadores Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves

Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves fishermen’s guild, located in the fishing refuge of the Port of Santa Cruz de La Palma, was inaugurated in 2000 and since then it has been developing and adapting to the times. Sardines, mackerels, moray eels, parrotfish, barred hogfish, bream, alfonsinos, combers, rubberlip grunts, shrimps, megrims, pollacks, groupers, conger eels, among many others, are the products that can be found in the fishermen´s guild of the capital.

Cofradía de Pescadores de Nuestra Señora del Carmen

The Cofradía de Pescadores de Nuestra Señora del Carmen is located in the municipality of Tazacorte, in the west of La Palma. Like the Cofradía de Pescadores de Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, they work through artisanal fishing with a team of 40 vessels. The most abundant species in this guild are shrimps, prawns, sardines, herrings, parrotfish and the most important for the subsistence of the island fleets: tuna.
